Interface Zero 3.0 Players Guide to 2095

Selected Option:

The year is 2095. The world has been ravaged by global warming, subjected to the horrors of nuclear war and natural disaster. In East Asia, the Bear and the Dragon battle for control of the resource-rich continent, and an emergent A.I. known only as Charon has destabilized the whole of Europe, sparking revolution and chaos not seen since the Second World War.

On the North American continent, the North American Coalition has retaken the majority of the United States, waging the Reclamation War and reforming the nation in its image. Only Texas and the walled city of Chicago stand independent of its control. Now, the masses struggle to adapt to draconian laws and avoid the indoctrination centers that have sprung up in every major city.

On a brighter note, perhaps, science has hacked the genome, unlocking the secrets of DNA to facilitate the creation of new breeds of human: genetic hybrids, "human 2.0," and even simulacrum — a slave race grown in amniotic vats and sold on the open market. Cybernetic technology has reached the point where those with the money, and the will to do so, can become living machines. Computer science has grown by leaps and bounds as well.

Dubbed "Interface Zero" by those who created it, the Tendril Access Processor, or TAP, downloads the Global DataNet and Hyper Reality directly into the minds of billions of users across the solar system, bringing the world an unparalleled level of interconnectivity, and danger. Malware plagues the Deep, however, and hackers manipulate the Tendril Access Processor to upload malicious virii, steal secrets, and even take over the identities of the unwary.

This is the world in 2095, omae. Let’s hope you survive it.

In this book you’ll find the following:

  • Origins and Campaign Themes
  • Races for Interface Zero 3.0
  • Edges and Hindrances
  • Our revised system for hacking
  • Weapons and equipment, along with rules to create your own!
  • Creation rules for Biotech, Cybertech, Chemtech, Genetech and Nanotech
  • New setting rules
  • A detailed look at the world in 2095 along with an extensive timeline with commentary on life in 2095
  • ...and much more!

This PDF will be layered for easy printing, and it will be indexed and fully bookmarked for ease of navigation.

If I get the GM's guide to 2095, is the Players guide (the product on this page) duplicative or are both books separate content?

The content in the GM's Guide is separate from the Player's guide, with one exception: The Player's Guide has a very condensed version of the Threats chapter. The GM's Section in the Player's Guide was meant as a small primer to help GM's get rolling quickly.

What is the diff between 2.0 and 3.0?

2.0 was for the previous edition of SW. 3.0 also moves the in-game timeline forward a bit.

Maybe I just can't find it but is there any price conversion formula for gear in the SW core rules? Many of the origins have cars, firearms and "common gear" from the savage worlds core rules, but I can't find any consistent of how the prices would be calculated if a player wants to buy the gear in game?
Thank you in advance.

HI there. No there isn't a price conversion document. I'd just use the same prices in the Savage Worlds book.

Thanks for the reply. Do you at least restrict some of the armor and weapons that are available? Some of it seems a lot cheaper in core. I didn't compare every single weapon but the dagger vs knife and the various armours seem to be the most obvious case.

No, we don't restrict anything.

If I were you, I'd jump over to our Discord and bring it up. There are a bunch of people who might have some thoughts and opinions on the subject. Also, it's the quickest way to ensure I see your questions!

Hey David J !<br />
You has created a great cyberpunk game, bro! Congratulations!
i didn't understand one point: at page 99, "Using Street cred", if in the failure I still can receive what I what (decreasing the die type), what's the difference to get a success on the roll, when I still have a die type decrease ? Thanks!

Hiya sir,

Right now there isn't any difference. I'm not positive why the writer wrote it that way. There is some discussion about it on our Discord page, come hang out and discuss it more with us.

Greetings, I was checking out the archetypes in both the Players Guide and the change log. In both the Zero (Pg 45 Players Guide and Pg 16 Change log) shows a "Chimera Synaptic Anti-Catalyst Wisecracker (tech, Strain 2): Gain a +2 bonus to Taunt". However the Zero does not have the Taunt skill. Was this intentional to offset unskilled use or was it a typo? The Wastlander directly above in both documents has Taunt at a D8.

I have the original 1.0 version and am pleased this is getting an update. Keep up the good work, and thank you for a great product.

At a glance version 3.3 looks like a vast improvement over what I'd seen a year ago. Very much appreciated! I still think that the extra header for each of the "races" is redundant and strange but that's a minor quibble. Can't wait to give this a full read!

One oddity in the PDF download I noticed is the fact that theres a Melee Weapon Table on Page 91 AND Page 92. But an Archaic Ranged Weapon table seems to be completely absent.

I also noticed that the special archaic ammunitions table is on both of those pages aswell.

Looking back to an old version of the Rules I have the Archaic Ranged weapon table is in there, so it really just seems to be some sort of error that accidentally replaced the Archaic Ranged Weapons table with another copy of the Melee Weapon table?

Not sure if these have been corrected in preparation for the printing.

Typo: pg 149 hArACter AssAssinAtion I assume is meant to say Character Assassination
Duplication: Table on pg 142 Epic Extraction/Kidnapping

Additionally on pg 149 under the hArACter AssAssinAtion "You’re the target of someone’s trash and may be pulled into a rivalry", not sure if you wanted to say "trash talk" or intended to leave it as "trash".

Further, under "Failure to complete a job" also on pg 149, does this imply that you only lose an additional step of street cred if you fail the Street Cred Roll and on success nothing happens?

It was an oversight on my part. I am truly sorry for it. I have Attention Deficit (Hyperactive) Disorder, and I completely missed them. I only found out they were missing after the book was published. I'm working to rectify the situation for the pdf and the reprint of the book. Contact me at : gunmetalgamespub@gmail.com and I'll try to do my best to fix the problem.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
