Interface Zero 2.0 (Starfinder Edition)

In a not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by global warming, subjected to the horrors of nuclear war and natural disaster, witnessed the collapse of the mightiest nation in the history of the world, and the rise of other nations to take its place. In East Asia, the Bear and the Dragon battle for control of the resource-rich continent, and an emergent A.I. known only as Charon has destabilized the whole of Europe, sparking revolution and chaos not seen since the Second World War.

On the North American continent, the prospect of conflict once again rears its ugly head as terrorist bombings in Atlantica, bring the nation to the brink of war with the North American Coalition. Is this the work of Charon, as well, or are other forces moving behind the scenes? Only time will tell.

Science has hacked the genome, unlocking the secrets of DNA to facilitate the creation of new breeds of human; genetic hybrids, human 2.0, and even simulacrum— a slave race grown in amniotic vats and sold on the open market. Cybernetic technology has reached the point where those with the money and the will to do so, can become living machines. Computer science has grown by leaps and bounds as well.

Dubbed Interface Zero by those who created it, the Tendril Access Processor—or TAP—downloads the Global DataNet and Hyper Reality directly into the minds of billions of users across the solar system, bringing the world an unparalleled level of interconnectivity, and danger. Malware plagues the Deep, and hackers manipulate the Tendril Access Processor to upload malicious virii, steal secrets, and even the identities of the unwary.

This is the world in 2090, omae; let’s hope you survive it.

 In this book you’ll find:

  • New themes
  • New Character Classes including the Hacker, Gearhead, Medic, and Zeek
  • New Archetypes
  • New Feats
  • Rules for Street Cred
  • A robust system for hacking the world around you
  • New augments, armor weapons and gear
  • Zone Grafts
  • Class Grafts…

 And much more!

This is very much on my short list.
I've been wanting something akin to Shadowrun for my Starfinder campaign, which means having a high level of cybernetics, bioware, drones, vehicles, and access to the Matrix. I'm hoping this will fit my needs. :)

Hey, my crew is considering playing the Interface Zero 2.0 (Starfinder Edition). We really like what we see overall but there does seem to be one blaring balance issue thus far, which is the Cybermonk. It seems to be significantly more powerful (both from AC and likely damage output) than any other class. If there anyone that can point out a justification for this, as by 10th level or so it looks like a Cybermonk would be floating around with around a 20+Dex+Wis while even the heaviest of armor is like a KAC of 12 (and that's a level 17 item).

Just curious if anyone could give me some insight into the thought behind the class design?

Where do I reference cybernetic weapons augmentations? There is only two listed in IZ2.0 and Starfinder core book does not mention it. This is somewhat important as the cybermonk class is heavily integrated with augmented weapons systems.

Yes. It's an entirely different game system (obviously), so a lot of the concepts are different in terms of how we deal with certain subjects, like hacking/drones/cybernetics, etc.

Yes. The problem is, I had to update the book files to cover a class ability fix, so now I have to re-order them before I can put them back on sale.

Hi, I found a weird error on 48, for the Medic's 2nd level medical knacks. Some of the descriptions are mixed up. Specifically, Nanite Reflexes has the description for Nanite Will, Nanite Fortitude has the description for Nanite Reflexes, and Fortifying Nanites has the description for Nanite Fortitude. The last one is particularly annoying because I do not know what the Fortifying Nanites are supposed to actually do.

Here are the fixes. I'm going to be updating the files asap:

DAMAGING NANITES (EX)

You have learned to tweak your drugs and reprogram your nanites to harm. Whenever you could use your healing nanites ability, you may choose to have the ability deal Stamina damage rather than recover Stamina Points. These nanites never deal Hit Point damage however. Otherwise, the ability works as normal, including having a reduced effect against androids and cyborgs, and may be used with any ability which can use healing nanites, unless otherwise noted.

NANITE FORTITUDE (EX)

You have learned to use your nanites to improve the target's

fortitude. Rather than heal a target with your healing nanites,

you may instead grant them a bonus on Fortitude saves equal

to your Wisdom modifier for a number of minutes equal to

the number of dice that the nanites would have healed.

Does this require owning Starfinder, or is this a standalone product? I think Starfinder would be a great system to run cyberpunk campaigns (heaven knows Shadowrun 5th edition is just WAY too complicated and rules heavy for most people lol), however I'm just wondering if you need to actually have Starfinder first.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
