I think I've seen this before... in a Deep Magic collection, I think.
Anyway, my question is: Could there possibly be the chance of adding a Feat for the ritual thing?

Something like:
Failed Ritual Focus
You have attempted to copy the elven high magic and their rituals.
However, your attempts are but a paltry copy of the true beauty of them.
You have achieved some success however. When you cast a spell that has
an additional effect when a Ritual Focus is expended, you can expend a
number of hit dice equal to the spells level to achieve the same effect.
In addition, you learn two rituals of a level no higher than half your level,
and can cast these spells as a ritual only.

If you want a higher cost, have them take damage equal to the total rolled, reducing their maximum as well until they take a long rest.

Hi, some issues I have which I'd like some clarifications on.

For "Bound Magic", the way it is worded implies you must cast the spell you choose immediately. I assume it is meant to say "you may" or "you can" for casting the spell. Additionally, as strange as it would be to happen, it lacks any contingency for if a player hasn't learned any ritual spells which target an area.
Is it supposed to only apply to one learned spell, or can it be applied to any learned spell that meets the criteria?

Finally, Ritual Foci; when it says you can expend them two or three times between rests, does the user still need to spend 10 minutes re-making it every time they expended it?

Is this feature supposed to actually do something, for I cannot for the life of me see what that would be.
If you're using a spell slot to cast the spell, why wouldn't you just cast the spell as normal then?
Why cast it as a ritual, that only makes the casting time unnecessarily longer.

Good question. Consider this official errata.

Deep Magic Chapter 11, Elven High Magic, page 4, Ritual Focus:
Replace the second bullet point with the following: "You can expend a spell slot equal to or higher than the spell’s nominal level as you cast the ritual version of the spell, provided the spell allows that as an option. The ritual takes effect at a level one higher than the expended spell slot. You must be able to cast spells of the ritual's elevated level for the ritual to take effect."
