Modular Kit: Mossy Dungeon Corridors

Modular Kit: Mossy Dungeon Corridors is a printable dungeon tileset compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl game. It can be used as a standalone set, or combined with any same-scale tileset.

Modular Kit: Mossy Dungeon Corridors comprises 73 different tiles that can be printed multiple times and arranged in limitless combinations. Each tile depicts a corridor or small chamber of a stone dungeon that has become cracked and worn, and then overgrown with moss, despite the torchlight that suggests the dungeon is still inhabited.  Numerous different junctions, turns, small chambers and passageways allow you to create an infinite number of torchlit layouts.
Combine with Mossy Dungeon Chambers!

Just bought this and the Mossy Chambers set, but there's a slight problem. While there's a 130dpi VTT set for Mossy Chambers, there's no matching VTT set for this package, only the 330dpi set. This means a world of hurt for anyone who hopes to assemble this in Photoshop rather than printing it. :(

Hi there. Yes, this map set predates our current policy of including VTT scaled files. It's on our list to get resized when we have time and get round to it. In the mean time, you could use this tip to resize them quickly. Make a new canvas in Photoshop which is 300dpi and 45cm x 45cm. Copy all the tiles into this canvas. Then, resize the whole thing as 72dpi, and 6300px by 6300px. You can then copy out and save each tile as a png. Hope that helps

Hmm, I appreciate the response but if the files start at 300dpi, then that rescaling factor actually increases their dpi further before shrinking them back down again. That sounds like it would degrade the quality of the artwork. Also, not quite sure what you mean by copying the files back out of Photoshop: is dragging and dropping of layers to the file system a new feature added since CS6?

In any event, ended up just recording an action to resize and then ran a batch job to output everything into a different folder. Thanks anyway. :)

BTW, it looks like the cooridors got rendered at 300dpi while the chambers were done at 330dpi. Not sure if this has been corrected in more recent tilesets, but it causes the gridlines not to line-up precisely, and the trim between walls and floor to be inconsistent in width between the two.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
