Looks cool but seems kind of pricey. Has anyone done a flip-thru video of this one yet?

This pretty straightforward game is a big hit in Italy, it is "classic" fantasy that successfully caters both to OSR and more "modern" sensibilities.
You have classic Species (dwarf, elf, human...) and Roles (warrior, thief...), but no levels, and a unified mechanic that uses small "pools" of d10s.
A peculiar characteristic of the game, is that characters do not grow "vertically", by earning better statistics or mor hit points, but horizontally, by earning abilities that give them more options.
Also, regular gear plays a big role in a character's growth as magical items are few and far between , and rather low key.
The game could also be described as low-crunch, rules-light, but highly tactical, (but fights do not take up forever).
One of the best things about it is that the core-book and the supplements have been supported with a big number of adventures.
Try it out, my bet is you'll like it.

I forgot to add that it's a perfect introductory game, good for one-shots, but can sustain campaign play very well

This looks fun. However there are some typos. For the Dwarf racial modifiers on p27, the -1 Agility mod is missing. And under the Thief abilities (p36), The Two Dice attributes need translating (Agility, Dexterity and Perception). Also I noticed that although it doesn’t mention it anywhere, adventurers all start with Armour 2, plus modifiers from work Armour. Overall a nice and simple system which I may adapt for the Lone Wolf setting. Are the other books coming out soon?

hi Justin! :) Thanks a lot for the errata, I'll fix them tomorrow.
Yes, there are two other books: The Griffin Barony (setting and adventures) and The Bestiary of the Griffin Barony (the monster manual). Both are waiting for the DriveT approval, so I think it will take some days to be released.

Cool. I look forward to those. Incidentally I know there are a few books in Italian. Do any of these expand the races, roles or special abilities available?

Yes, every book has some expansions in it: a race or a role or new abilities, new equip or (few) new rules. Every book has a new Land, its own map, npcs, adventures and comes with a specific bestiary of its own.

Hi Justin,
the Italian (physical) line has now 6 sourcebooks: The Land of Rivers, The Unknown Reaches, Domstride County, Castle Scarghul Ordeal (MEGADUNGEON line), Two Suns Realms and the Crimson Islands.

All sounds good. I noticed a Master set. Does that have more in-depth rules, player options etc

You're right!
I forgot to mention the Master Set.
It contains a Master Screen, a new Role (the Warrior Mage), a booklet of short adventures in the Griffin Barony and special rules about the "equipment at hand" (not about encumbrance. They're more detailed rules for determining how many and which items an Adventurer has "at hand").

Bought the physical copy in Italian.
This game is an OSR but doesn't use the OGL of D&D. Is very easy to learn, fun and... Mortal!
5 stars for it

This looks pretty cool! But, is the PDF printer-friendly? Is that parchment background able to be turned off, etc.?

Hi Jeremy,
All TLT files (the Rulebook, Tutorial Adventure, Adventurers Record Sheets) as well as those still in review (The Griffin Barony and The Griffin Barony Bestiary) are currently non printer-friendly.
Nevertheless, we are not excluding such feature for the near future.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
