Shadow Profiteer

In the sleepy village of Somnolence, evil begins to awaken. After an excavation of an ancient battle site, Manceologist Morgan Rechls has made the discovery of a lifetime - he has found the missing codex of the Aphotic.

Except things don't quite go as one might hope. Others have learned of his impressive discovery, and seek to benefit from what the codex can provide. When Rechls returns to his home in Somnolence, the codex thrums to life after centuries of dormancy. In doing so it calls forth something - evil. Somnolence is about to face an invasion from something that is beyond their very comprehension.

It just so happens that one group of adventurers is present in Somnolence when the mists of fate roll in. They are all that stands between the Aphotic and their ability to plunge the very nation into war.
