Deadlands: Lost Colony

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The story of Deadlands continues.

The Last War on Earth destroyed the "Tunnel," the galactic wormhole between home and the colonists of the Faraway System.

Now they're trapped in the mining colonies of deep space or the lone inhabitable and often hostile planet of Banshee. Ancient and evil creatures called the Skinnies see their chance to strike, rallying Banshee's native anouks to wipe out the invaders.

The only ship capable of traveling between systems, Hellstromme Industries' Unity, has returned. And with its cargo comes a final Reckoning.

Deadlands: Lost Colony is a roleplaying game set in the award-winning, best-selling Deadlands series. It requires the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition game system.

Having both HOE Reloaded and Lost Colony, I noticed that what should be identical weapons are statted differently. Is this a change in the Savage Worlds setting or what? The IW gyrojet weapons are different in the two settings. Which stats are the right ones?

The statistics in Lost Colony are the most updated and correct statistics.

They may vary slightly from the upcoming Science Fiction Companion (SWADE version) because that tech level is a little higher than that of Lost Colony.

It's deadlands, in a post apocalypsetic setting... How can this not be right. Well, not wrong?

I'm not familiar with this setting, is this a self contained setting seperate from Deadlands Reloaded? How much of this can be used with Reloaded when that is finally updated to SWADE you reckon? We're not sure whether we pull the trigger on this or wait until Weird West is updated. It's listing me a purchaser, but I'm not yet haha, wanting to be sure first

Deadlands: Lost Colony just requires the Savage Worlds Adventurer's Edition. It's a separate setting, but is related to Deadlands/Deadlands:Reloaded.

Having DLR wouldn't hurt, but it's not required. It just means that you'll understand a bit more of the backstory.

A little bit of history here and a bit of info. No, I'm not with Peginc, just another fan.

Deadlands is the Weird West setting. It's the time of the wild west, but with weird science inventions, undead harrowed, horrific monsters, and various forms of "magic". So it's an alternate history that didn't just veer from ours, it did a 720 spin and shot down a manhole cover into one wild ride! (The original game that eventually became Savage Worlds came from this. The new versions use the Savage Worlds rules, but which version of one depends on which version of the other).

Hell On Earth is a somewhat futuristic setting tech wise (after all, they had Jetpacks, gatling pistols and other wild things all the way back in the 1800s) and then had their version of a nuclear war, but with nukes that had magical/spiritual effects. Mutants and Mayhem everywhere, at least where there's still something left. (Same caveat on the rules as with Deadlands.)

Lost Colony takes place at...See more

Small correction: The alien star system in Lost Colonies is the Faraway System. The planet most of the action takes place on is Banshee.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
