Death and Discovery in the Vermont Hills!

In 1929, a student died during an expedition in the Vermont Hills. One year later, the Miskatonic University sent another team on the same expedition…

It's time to harvest.

What's Inside?

First released as a six-scenario Organized Play series, A Time to Harvest is available now for the first time in a complete and updated tome. The campaign is compatible with both Call of Cthulhu and Pulp Cthulhu rules.

Into The Hills...

Red Sign

Set in the picturesque state of Vermont at the beginning of the 1930s, A Time to Harvest is a six-part campaign centered on the valley surrounding the sleeping town of Cobb's Corners. A wellspring of resources for the Keeper, the book includes a full suit of player handouts, maps, and details on the key locations preparing you for both the events of the campaign, as well as giving you plenty of information to write your own scenarios set in 1920s Vermont.

Cobb's Corners

Mi-Go Attack

A small town nestled in a bountiful valley, Cobb's Corners is a key location in A Time to Harvest. The book details the Vermont town, helping you bring it to life at the tabletop, and to give the setting for your games of Call of Cthulhu a rich, lived-in feeling.

On Campus

A Wellspring of Investigators

Adventurer Portrait

A Time To Harvest contains new rules and advice for creating student investigators. Additionally, there is information on incorporating existing characters into the campaign by bringing in your investigators that have cut their teeth in other scenarios for Call of Cthulhu.

The book includes 10 pre-generated investigators, giving new and eager players everything they need to jump right into the mystery of Cobb's Corners.

Mother Loves Me

For Mature Readers

Is there a way to report reviews? Because this racist tirade is really bothersome.

It is interesting that reviewer Harald dislikes the cult in this campaign preying on minors, since he is so obsessed with being "historically accurate". Abusing minors is a staple in cults both today and throughout history. But for some reason that is distasteful to Harald and should be changed, while it is totally inacceptable to change equally distasteful racism, sexism or classism.

Report it? Calling for historical accuracy is not in itself racist. Harald himself says that whitewashing the racism and bigotry of the times diminishes the achievements of those who have fought against it. (This also suggests, btw, that Harald is not a racist, is pro-equality.)
I myself thought Harald's review was dumb because CoC isn't about roleplaying racism and bigotry. Who would want to play that game?! The rest of us will get our real history from a real teacher or a real history book.

I don’t know how you can argue that the review is pro-equality when half of his complaints are entirely fabricated to push an agenda.

He clearly took so much issue with one of the two black NPCs being described favourably that he managed to miss that the vast majority of the NPCs are white. It also must be a coincidence that he happened to point out the only white NPC in the student group that is described negatively on that page filled with friendly and well liked white NPCs. Aside from the one I won’t mention in case it spoils something. Also not every baddie is a “white dude”.

Even his historical accuracy point is nonsense. The reason the pre-made investigators are diverse is because the people playing the game are diverse. They don’t actually exist in the game. Within the “world” there is a sum total of 4 black NPCs.

So yes, this was a racist tirade in which he lied so he could play victim about something that as you mentioned wouldn’t even...See more

Dear John, may be you are not very bright. Are you dimly aware that there are more people than "black" and WASP ones? Asian, American Indigineous, Arabs, Slavs, other Europeans? Italians, Irish and Greek people were very much discriminated against in the 1920s. If you include that in the numbers, I am correct about the pregens.
That leaves me with the question: are you an idiot or a liar?
Since you have falsely accused ME of lying, I feel confident to return the compliment. The facts, however, are not YOUR friends.

Those who do not remember history are doomed to re-live it.
Even if they forged themselves fairy-tales and net-mob all that disagree.

Current preview file doesn’t make much sense, as it is from the Handouts file that is fully available free from the Chaosium site anyway. Preview from the actual campaign book would be more useful.

If I buy the pdf copy through DTRPG, do I still get a coupon for half off the physical copy when it is available?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
