A Green and Dead Sea
by Maxwell M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/13/2021 14:45:06

It's rare that I start reading a product thinking "I don't know if I like this" and end it thinking "I have got to run this as soon as possible." This thing is flavorful and fascinating, implying a much larger world while leaving the details for the GM to fill in. It's gonzo in the very best sense.

My Body is a Cage
by Bob V. G. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/03/2021 15:07:20

My Body is a Cage is a modern day d6 dice pool RPG with 32 pages. It includes 3 Bingo activity cards, six d100 charts, three monster examples, 8 spell examples, instructions for creating NPCs and PCs, but no skill list and no price list. The player characters spend their time working, going to school, sleeping/dreaming, and a bit of play time. The main emphasis is on dreaming. What is unique about this game is that when the characters wake up, they will have acquired some money. The amount of money is determined by the pool dice that were not used. I have to admit it, I love games about dreams. I soloed this with The Mythic Game Master Emulator. I played a rogue that could pick locks and pick pockets. I also played a medium that could have spiritual visions and could dowse. The dream adventure started with my characters in a Blockbuster video store. They interacted with NPCs inside and outside. The rogue then picked out a Fantasy video named A Local Legend (Dungeon Issue # 31). He saw the backroom area which had a flickering light and an 18 years and older sign. When the two characters entered that backroom the fantasy adventure started. They did survive. So, I did enjoy this game, but I did not care for the artwork and “developmental editing”. Give this unique game a try!

On the Shoulders of Colossus
by David M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/18/2020 12:21:45

As the book points out at the start, this is heavily inspired by the themes and battles from the classic "Shadow of the Colossus" game.

The stats given are for D&D 5e, though these should be readily converted to other systems.

This supplement is built on two pillars: grey morality and the unusual nature of colossi compared to other foes. If either of those appeal to you, I suggest giving On the Shoulders of Colossus a look.
