Well, it's the definitive version for Vampire pre-5th edition, and if you love that version of the game, this book is for you. A really comprehensive effort for compiling all clans, Disciplines and assorted rules, you can run games foreveer with nothing but this book. They chose to create an "eternal now" setting, in which Gehenna is always about but not quite happening yet, so if you don't like V5 you don't have to bother with it.

I like V5 better, but this game will always have a special place in my heart. This book is a work of love and admiration for the game. A true classic.

Descubrí este sistema en inglés con Spirit of the century, me atrajo. ¡¿El libro básico en español?! Lo tengo en tapa dura y la edición digital que incluyen. No es que esté contento, estoy encantado, así que aprovecho que paso a ojear las futuras traducciones que va a hacer nosolorol a ver si me interesa alguna.

Si no conoces este sistema, ojo, no es para todo el mundo. Es muy facil trabarse en la creación de personaje o a la hora de jugar no conseguir sacarle jugo a los aspectos. Es cuestión de introspección e ir mejorando. Si ya has jugado bastante al rol y consigues pillarle el truco, ¡no querrás jugar a otra cosa!.

Based on design alone this book is beautiful. My Spanish is a bit rusty and it's going to take me some time to read it. However I hope they translate this book to English as fast as they can. And sell the offical book here cause I would but it in heartbeat. Come on Cartoon Network we want it here too. When I get this finished reading I will update this review. So far it's beautiful.

Let me first say that I have wanted this book for many years after playing a demo of it back in 1991. I was enthralled by it's incredible level of detail, character generation system, ease of play and spectacular attention to religious thought of the medieval church and demonology. This game is probably the best gaming product I can barely read.

The PDF version is gloriously illustrated, the woodcuts and colors are magnificent. The overall layout of the book is very well done, and for non Spanish speakers this is a blessing; if you try to run a gamer of Aquelarre you will need to be able to find the information you want quickly. There is a lot of old Spanish terminology in the book- it helps if you know a Spanish scholar or someone very used to the terms used. The system runs of off a simple percentile system a la BRP. The rules are very easy to use- translating them might be more difficult.

The pdf is expensive. The book is entirely in Spanish and is password protected so you cant copy and paste into a translator for quick translation. Is the price worth it? I say yes. I little work on your part will yield a lot of satisfaction, and you get a Spanish lesson to boot.
