DRAGONLOCK Ultimate: Dungeon Starter Set
Publisher: Fat Dragon Games
by AJ P. [Verified Purchaser]

I purchased an Anet A8 (prusa clone kitset made in China), put it together, sort of calibrated the print bed by eyeballing it and hoping for the best, and my first ever print was the door frame of the Dragonlock Dungeon starter set.. and it printed perfectly. Since then I have loaded files into Cura and printed out multiple tiles and lots of clips, and I am very happy. The files are easy to work with, the printer has no issues, I have cleaned up and painted a few of the tiles and they look fantastic, so, I have no complaints what so ever. After I print a load of dungeon tiles (what I consider to be a full modular set), I will print a load of furnishings, and then I will start on a cavern tile set, and then start on a village set. I figure this is going to be my printers primary job for the whole year!

Extremely good value for money. Very practical design. Suitable for novice level skills. Broad range of optional extras and, I am sure, many more expansion sets to come.

I would like to see a forest set in future, and some sci fi tiles for Space Hulk style games.

Heroic Maps - Geomorphs: Basic Dungeon
Publisher: Heroic Maps

So often it seems that Heroic Maps comes up with exactly what I need for my game. I have to run a few games over at a friends house and was wondering what dungeon tiles to take along that I could get maximum use out of, with minimal numbers of tiles I would have to take with me, along with rule books, dice and miniatures, my dungeon masters 'load out'. A set of geomorphic dungeon tiles is perfect for the travelling DM, as they can be used over and over again, in any number of combinations, and this set has a design that is both aesthetically engaging, and packed full of strategic possibilities. With the combination of larger chambers, winding corridors and multiple routes that can be taken, it is an easy matter to set up wandering monster encounters, ambushes, rotating dungeon section puzzles, and, with the addition of stairwells, multi-level dungeon crawls that can blend seamlessly into any of the other dungeon sets (such as the abandoned Dwarven mine, or modular ancient dungeon set, with just a few more tiles included in the DM's travelling back pack). The level of detail, colour pallet and scale is a perfect match for the average gaming miniature, and the design makes for an excellent crafting challenge, for those who want to enhance the 3D aspect by mounting the walls on cardboard or foam core cutouts, for a 2.5D representative feel.

Heroic Maps - Explorer: Battlerooms 1

I've just finished mounting the Battle Rooms on double corrugated cardboard and along with the Modular kit for Ancient Dungeon Corridors, as well as the Egyptian Tomb Chambers, I have some really exciting terrain for my tabletop role playing games. I use these excellent tile sets in conjuntion with my miniatures collection and various props I either sculpt myself, or print from files. We have a lot of options available to us these days when it comes to tabletop game play, a lot of mediums to choose from, but what really sets Heroic Maps head and shoulders above many others is the attention to detail, the vibrant colours, and the sheer utility of their designs. These are products that I will be using for a lifetime! I look at the room with the large green rings on the floor... what is going on in here? Is it the meeting room of a cabal of druids, summoning spirits to inhabit the trees and bring them to life as Ents? Is there a giant emerald floating in mid air, surrounded by green eyed assassins? Is it the audience chamber for a Green Dragon, transformed into the guise of a rich, manipulative river trade baron? Every single room in this set inspires me, and will be used until worn out, then printed out and constructed again, and again.

Heroic Maps - Modular Kit: Town - Streets & Houses
Publisher: Heroic Maps

Another excellent addition to the modular kit series by Heroic Maps. This set includes town houses and cobblestone streets, both narrow alleys and wide lanes. The details on this kit are excellent and there are a sufficient variety of modest to moderate dwellings, some including stairs, so, you can use them as lower and upper levels, or entrances to the sewer tiles or cavern tiles, or the dungeon tiles. Although there are some minor variances, the streets could combine very well with the Wardenhale set series, so, the town could expand to include docks, commercial buildings, gambling dens, guild halls, taverns and wizard towers. Also included is the very handy full page templates for constructing your own custom street tiles, which just adds the icing to the cake of this versatile product. Many other artists are starting to copy the innovative style of the Heroic Map products, few can match the quality or the range available.

Heroic Maps - Geomorphs: Wardenhale Docks
Publisher: Heroic Maps

Combined with the other Wardenhale sets, a very impressive, comprehensive city mapping system. Aside from the attention to detail and excellent art design of the set, which I have come to expect from Heroic Maps, this set in particular has a wide range of practical uses for any ongoing campaign or one shot adventure. Docks and the surrounding buildings are the hub of rumour and trade, they are where new arrivals make shady deals with local syndicates, where exotic goods arrive fresh from the mysterious east. Aside from the bustling tavern, is there any city locale more rife with adventure leads?

This 'product' is just advertising. A random roll chart for determining which other random roll charts to purchase... this just wasted my time.
