The Great Trap is quite a ride! The Pre-Gen characters are AMAZING. They’re colorful, empowered and have extremely unique backstories and secrets. It was incredibly refreshing (and exciting) to play an empowered Investigator. However, despite the knowledge, skills and spells given, the Investigators are still quite vulnerable, and that in itself, was also a good bit of fun. The scenario has a couple twists and turns that caught me completely off guard. The art is brilliant and very appropriate for both the feel of the scenario and the era. The scenario is refreshing, creepy and investigative heavy. There are a couple chases that are well executed and a few scenes that if you have a roleplay heavy group, they could poke and prod to their curiosity’s and heart’s desire for well beyond the suggested run time! There’s so much that I want to say, but due to respect of potential spoilers I’ll just say this: buy it. Run it. Play it.

Bayt al Azif is a great Mythos Magazine for both new and veteran players/Keepers. There's a thorough Retrospective breakdown of 2019's Cthulhu products that's sure to encourage and inspire some future purchases for your collection. The layout is crisp and has hyperlinks to other sections of the magazine and direct to purchase items. I thought this was very useful. I've only read 1/3 scenarios so far, In the House of Glass, by Gail Clendenin. This scenario is easy to pick up, easy to run and really pushes Investigators to find clever and "cool" solutions for a very "hot" situation. My favorite piece is an article by Jared that breaks down Sanity loss costs. THIS IS SUPER USEFUL, especially as an independent content creator. Aside from the brilliant cover art, there is a lot of FANTASTIC imagery within the magazine. Can't wait for the print option to be available.

I am absolutely in love with this source book. The mechanics are intuitive and truly lend themselves to roleplay and narrative. They also can create serious tension for both the player and the character. The stress/panic rules have forever changed my perspective on horror. Would HIGHLY recommend. Beautiful art. Well organized. It skyrocketed to the top of my Horror TTRPG list.
