This is by far the best book in the Citybook series, which is saying a lot, as all the books have a lot of inspirational content. I have used this as the basis for my ‘home’ city where all the PC live, shop and start their adventures. The Diamond Spider tavern, the Grey Minstrel Inn, Skywhite’s and the Salmagundi cart have all been well received by the players.

I really quite like this, it's digestable, it's short and most off an a fun and intreasting read. I'm going to be reworking and incliding most of the locations featered in this pdf in my campaign.

All by all worthwile if your a Gm/Dm looking for old school style locationts in your campaign or oneshot!

Even if you don't use all the encounters and locations, they make for an excellent read!

Absolutely love this book. While its not an entire city in and of itself, it definently gives you everything you need to build your own city right over top of these fine services. It offers great lodging, food, spiritual and so many more different services to flesh out your own stories and campaigns.

The Citybook series was one of my favorite game aids when they were first produced, and I'm glad to see them again. My copies are sorely beat up and in some cases missing. The various settings described in the Citybooks make it easy to drop a full scenario in front of a party on those occasions that happen all too often when they go off on their own in completely the opposite direction from the dungeon you had planned. I've run The Grey Minstrel Inn, from Citybook 1, at least five times over the years, with different tweaks each time. The settings are system-neutral but easily adapted; I've used them with T&T, two versions of D&D, and a home-grown game system with ease. Highly recommended!
