Eclipse Phase Second Edition
by Bartosz N.
Publisher: Posthuman Studios LLC

Eclipse Phase Second Edition Long story short: EP first edition was great, EP second edition is even better. It's a complex but much more elegant game now. No rule is more complicated than necessary, so all nuances and flavours of the 1st edition are still here. Pools are a neat and exciting mechanic and the writing is very good throughout. The typesetting is amazing, too, clearly done by a professional. I really have no serious gripes with the book apart from quite a few typos, but that's just cosmetics and has no real impact on readability. This easily is one of the best RPG rulebooks out there, my experience being with Warhammer (1,2, 4), DnD (3), Fading Suns, New World of Darkness (Vampire, Werewolf, Promethean), Neuroshima, Call of Cthulhu (7). This quote from the book... "Eclipse Phase is an exploration of uncertain futures. This is more than a tabletop roleplaying game, it’s a detailed science fiction setting that thoroughly investigates issues that affect our future as a species."...

The Runewild Campaign Setting
by will s.
Publisher: Sneak Attack Press
Date Added: 09/18/2020 23:26:03
The Runewild Campaign Setting Runewild is the perfect blend of folklore, fairy-tales, and D&D. All the familiar D&Disms are there, with an otherworldly twist. The magic of the Runewild feels truly magical -- mysterious, dangerous, yet rewarding if you can unravel its hidden rules. The book itself is excellent, providing a sandbox experience that does a great job of keeping the party moving. For example, many random encounters encourage the PCs to head towards a specific location to explore, and there are quests that take the PCs far and wide. I really, really want to run this campaign....

Trinity Continuum: Terra Firma

Trinity Continuum: Terra Firma This supplement provides an overview of Earth (and Luna) in the 22nd and frankly it's great stuff. In some ways I would suggest that it's possibly a more vital supplement than the excellent Æon Æxpansion. To anyone starting on running Æon I'd certainly recommend picking this up as the first non-core book purchase. Some of the regional setting material may seem familiar to fans of the first edition game but there is plenty of new and updated material to make this a valuable addition to the line. If that wasn't enough the sections of weird and mysterious locations could keep a campaign going for months if not years and the new character options are diverse and original. If you need any further convincing - two words "Monster Buddy", it's a new Edge, look it up when you buy the book, you'll thank me for it (and if you are anything like me and my players the plot ideas will start flooding out). ...

Under Tenkar's Tavern, Levels 1-3

Under Tenkar's Tavern, Levels 1-3 For the past few days, I have soloed my way through Under Tenkar's Tavern. It is a fun Swords & Sorcery (OSR) adventure designed for characters of level 1, 2, or 3. It is designed for a Dungeon Master and several players. To solo it, I used a solo engine that I have been testing out. I did this adventure with five first level characters. The game system that I used was Starfinder. On the first day, the space goblins went to their morning class: Herbology. This was followed by Transfiguration 1. The goblins tried to transfigure each other into frogs, but with no success. They went to the pub for lunch and the bartender set them up with a quest to help out his brother in another town. Mert gave them some supplies and hired a woman and her horse to take them there with his wagon. On the way to this other town, the wagon was stopped by goblin bandits. This encounter turned into a drinking party. On the second day they arrived at the town at noon. They were planning on buying some...

DDAL05-02 The Black Road (5e) This is one of the first AL modules I played and it was so much fun as a player that I decided to buy it so I could run it for others. It's a great intro to D&D and has a lot of unique elements that make it a memorable adventure. :)

The Duel at Dangerford

The Duel at Dangerford I used to play Runequest back in the day with the Avalon Hill version (which wasn't that Gloranthan, even though it had hints of it), but I nevertheless managed to get my hands on some sourcebooks to get an idea what Glorantha is. Then I forgot about it for the next 30 years. I recently got the new edition of Runequest and it sat in my shelf for about six months, until I decided to read it. At the same time, I started googling around 'Glorantha' as the new edition is quite good in sparking interest and wonder about how big Glorantha actually is. Few google searches later, I get into a forum and from there onto this adventure. Now at this point, I'm aware that around the time the character's you create by default roll onto the stage, a thing called Dragonrise has taken place and there's all kinds of aftermaths happening. Long story short, this scenario looked interesting (I'm bad at buying indie stuff, but this looked ok) and I have to say, it's...

Hocus Focus: A Dresden Fiasco I played with with a big Dresded fan while the rest of the group knew it just on passing. And still it was one of the most intrincate playsets I've played. It was funny, and it kept going forwards. What I got from my dresded fan friend was "It really works as a Dresden game"

Star Trek Adventures: Kobayashi Maru Supplement (FREE)
by Iv R.
Publisher: Modiphius

Star Trek Adventures: Kobayashi Maru Supplement (FREE) This was my first interaction running Star Trek Adventures and it was really cool. I had a couple of players who weren't familiar with the setting but they quickly got the hang of their pregen characters. I think the book would be better if it had some more advice on ship to ship combat, but otherwise it was a good adventure

Female Mage - RPG Stock Art Pretty cool art! I used it as the cover for my own adventure. I only would have wanted the background to be on a different layer than the character herself. Otherwise it's cool art and supper evocative

Ancestry & Culture: An Alternative to Race in 5e
by Iv R.
Publisher: Arcanist Press
Date Added: 09/18/2020 12:27:11
Ancestry & Culture: An Alternative to Race in 5e This is a cool read but I was expecting a more "chunky" set of rules. Half the book are the rules and the other half is an adventure. I've read the adventure, haven't run it, and while it seems solid I trully wanted a bit more out of the rules. However it *is* a good read, and it's good stuff to keep always in mind.

The Veil: Cascade Post-Cyberpunk Roleplaying Cascade is natural fit for The Veil, at least it was for my group. We all were having ideas about extending life and if the character's reality was "real" and all of these ideas are well supported in cascade. Totally recomended
